Academic Catalogs – Columbus State University

Explanatory statement

The statements set forth in these catalogs are for informational purposes only and should not be construed as the basis of any contract between a student and this institution. While the catalog is accurate at the time of publication, the curriculum and degree progression and completion questions as adopted by the faculty may be deleted, added, or changed at any time as deemed necessary. Should changes to a program of study become necessary, these changes will be applied liberally and without penalty. For students with discontinued enrollment, the catalog for the re-entry year will guide their program of study.

Although the provisions of these catalogs are normally applied as stated, Columbus State University reserves the right to change any provision listed in these catalogs, including, but not limited to, academic requirements for graduation, without actual notice to individual students. Every effort will be made to keep students informed of such changes. Information on the changes will be available at the Registrar’s Office, from the dean of the college or from the head of the department concerned. It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of the current graduation requirements for particular programs of study.

Students with a documented disability as described by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (PL 933–112 Section 504) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are encouraged to contact the Center for Accommodation and Access, Schuster Center, (706) 507–8755. Course requirements will not be waived, but reasonable accommodations and technical support can be provided to help meet course requirements. Columbus State University welcomes qualified students of any race, gender, disability, national origin, and ethnicity to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally granted or made available to students of the university.
