Adam Savage tears up Google, revealing how bad search engine results are these days

In an episode dubbed a “laser printer rant,” he instead ripped into Google for making it impossible to find the information he wanted.
“The signal-to-noise ratio exceeded 1,” he said, referring to the unwanted Google results he saw.
Adam Savage was looking for a “large format laser printer”. Instead, the Google results he got were mostly low-quality ads and referral sites where product prices weren’t mentioned, sites he says are most likely generated in a way procedural. The few non-ad results were no better. Although he wanted a laser printer, the articles he saw were about inkjet plotters.
